Just a short drive from Villandro lie some of South Tyrol’s most beautiful ski areas: the family-friendly Plose, the wide slopes of the Alpe di Siusi, the legendary pistes of Val Gardena or the sunny Corno del Renon.
With our ski safari you can experience a different area every day – completely relaxed, without your own car. Simply register the evening before, hop on in the morning and off you go. The free shuttle picks you up right at our door and brings you back after an eventful day on the slopes.
And the best part: even if you don’t ski, you can use the shuttle to go winter hiking or enjoy a cosy stop in the ski areas. This way you discover new places together – each in your own way, but all with the same portion of winter happiness.
Cross-country skiing pleasure at 2,000 metres
The Alpe di Villandro is a little paradise for cross-country skiers. At around 2,000 metres above sea level, perfectly groomed tracks stretch for kilometres across the snowy high plateau – sometimes gently flat, sometimes sporty and steep. As you glide along in a steady rhythm, you’re accompanied by silence, crisp mountain air and a panorama that stretches far into the Dolomites.
Ideal for beginners and leisure skiers, but also for those who want to do a few more demanding laps.
More winter adventures off the slopes
It’s not just skiers and cross-country fans who get their money’s worth here – off the pistes and trails there’s plenty to enjoy too:
- Tobogganing fun – directly on the Alpe di Villandro, where sledges can also be hired, a prepared run awaits that promises fun for both families and sports enthusiasts. For variety, you’ll also find fast tracks in Lazfons, on the Plose or in Val Gardena.
- Ski touring – the vast mountainsides around Villandro and the rest of the Valle Isarco are made for ski tours. Whether beginners or experienced mountain lovers – guided tours with local mountain guides open the door to untouched landscapes and breathtaking views.
- Winter hiking – well-prepared trails invite you to enjoy leisurely walks even without snowshoes. Perfect for soaking up the crisp winter air and afterwards warming up in a rustic hut.
Advent atmosphere and twinkling lights
In the weeks before Christmas, a special magic settles over South Tyrol’s towns and villages: the scent of biscuits, sparkling fairy lights and festive music fill the streets.
The Christmas markets in Bressanone and Bolzano, or the atmospheric Chiusa Gassl Advent, are just a stone’s throw away and invite you to stroll, savour and marvel – with hot mulled wine, handmade crafts and a good dose of festive anticipation.
